General Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, Oscar Health, Ambetter, Molina Healthcare, Superior HealthPlan, Community Health Choice, Medicare, and Tricare. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your mental health benefits before your first appointment. Our staff can also help verify your coverage.
How much does therapy cost without insurance?
Our self-pay rates are $200 for an initial evaluation (60-90 minutes) and $150 for ongoing therapy sessions (45-50 minutes). Psychological testing fees vary based on the complexity of the evaluation, typically ranging from $500-$2,500. We offer a sliding scale for clients who qualify based on financial need. Payment is due at the time of service.
What happens during the first appointment?
Your first appointment is an intake session where your therapist will gather information about your background, current concerns, and therapy goals. This session typically lasts 60-90 minutes. You'll discuss your symptoms, medical history, family history, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, you'll develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by calling our office at (984) 254-6390, emailing demo@psyfiassist.com, or using our online booking system on our website. New clients are typically scheduled within 1-2 weeks. If you have an urgent need, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you sooner.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes, many of our providers offer telehealth appointments via secure video conferencing. Telehealth is available for therapy sessions and psychiatric medication management for clients located in Texas. Psychological testing must be conducted in-person at our office. Our telehealth platform is HIPAA-compliant to ensure your privacy.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will be charged a $100 late cancellation fee. This fee is not covered by insurance. We understand emergencies happen, and exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
How long does therapy typically last?
The duration of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy (8-12 sessions) focused on specific issues, while others may engage in longer-term treatment for complex or ongoing concerns. Your therapist will work with you to regularly assess progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
What types of psychological testing do you offer?
We offer comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological testing including: ADHD evaluations for children and adults, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments, learning disability evaluations, giftedness testing, cognitive assessments, personality assessments, and neuropsychological evaluations for memory concerns or brain injury. If you're bringing a minor, please bring their insurance card and complete consent forms.
